Understanding the results
Expected standard means the pupil met the required standard in all three subjects: reading, writing and maths. Higher standard means the pupil achieved a high score in reading and maths and was assessed as working at greater depth in writing.
Scaled scores are used for reading and maths tests. A score of 100 represents the expected standard; the average scaled score shows the average performance of pupils with a valid test score.
