Welcome to FSCW/FSSH!

Welcome to our Foundation Stage.

Our classes are called FSCW and FSSH. The Foundation Stage currently consists of Nursery and Reception children.

Other adults within our classes are Mrs Haywood, Mrs Blackburn, Mrs Knighton, Miss Morley and Miss Eastwood 

Here is some important information about our classes.

PE Day is Tuesday. Children need to bring black bottoms and a white top. Earrings must be removed for PE sessions either by yourself in the morning or by the children before the lesson starts.

Book bags will be sent home each evening and will contain sounds, a reading book and a log book.  Books bags need to be brought to school each day. An adult will read with your child at least once a week and will change the home reading book as this fits with our phonics work in school. Please try to read with your child as often as possible and write a comment to let us know how they are doing at home.  

The Early Years consists of 7 key areas which are broken down into 17 different areas which the children are assessed against as they move through the early years. At the end of Reception the children are assessed against the Early Learning Goals to say whether they have met GLD (a good level of development).
